We are entering the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. I know we’ll all be busy shopping, cooking, cleaning and traveling in preparation for Thursday.
I wanted to take this time to express my thanks to all of you who have supported me in my blog adventures for the last six months. When I decided to start a blog, I think I had a headache every day. Designing the site, trying to figure out what to say (I’m still doing that!), uploading photos, joining blog-hops…it was all so overwhelming.
And every time I’d push “publish” on post, I’d hold my breath. Is this any good? Will anyone come to read it? Will anyone comment?
And now, six months later, I still have the occasional migraine over writing. But I am constantly humbled and blessed by your support and presence here. I named the blog ‘Evangelize To Me’ because I wanted to learn from you as much as I wanted to write. Your insightful comments have added new ideas about post content, cited Scripture references, made me laugh, and added your own life experiences.
And that’s the best thing of all. When you relate some of your life to me, I get to know you better. I love that. We all have such important stories to share, and they announce the presence of the Lord in everyday life.
Thank you for joining me here. I am so grateful for every single visit. I love to see your smiling faces through the photos and your special icons in the ‘join this site’ section. But whether you are there or joining me on Bloglovin’ or by email, know that I pray for all of you. And I know that God will hear me and bless you for the kindness you have shown and the blessing you have been.
When Thanksgiving Day comes, and I count my blessings, you all will be on that list. You are on notice though…you can never leave! Let’s promise to always evangelize to each other, and prove that God magnifies himself in us every day.

Hi Ciel. That was my first thought when I started blogging. If there is anyone out there who will be interested to read what I write. After more than two years, I found out that I just need to write from my heart and just enjoy writing and visiting other blogs to be inspired, get connected and build friendship.

we don’t have thanksgiving day here in Wales, but every day is a day of thanksgiving eh? I have to say that I love writing but you must have some energy to be able to write every day. I enjoy your blog because you are very friendly. I don’t have a smiley face on my photo, my husband always says that my expression is quite serious. The strange thing is that I can look like that and be thinking some lovely thoughts. I shall have to do a smiley face pic one day. Ha ha!

Such a sweet read Ceil. Although I haven’t gotten around to writing it, I was having similar thoughts of thankfulness for all the blogging friends earlier today. When I launched out in blog land over 3 years ago I never could have imagined how richly rewarding it would be. But I also understand the nervousness one feels when hitting the publish button.
I guess I had no idea that you had been blogging for a mere six months! You have settled in so well and you’re a natural. Thank you for the explanation of the name of your blog. Another way of speaking to ourselves in hymns and spiritual songs and making melody to the Lord. Pretty cool. Have a very blessed Thanksgiving!

You must have started your blog about the same time as I started mine….the only difference is YOU are a true writer! Welcome to the blogahood:) I think successful blogging – and long-term blogging is about relationship building. It’s sharing your heart – and then listening to others – and in the listening, I am continually blessed with such God-inspired encouragement.
I always told my college students to have one person in mind they really want to communicate with when they wrote – because then it will be easier and so much better. My grandmother used to be my “muse” – after she died, it became my children. That takes the fear out and just lets the love stay:)

I honestly can’t remember how I found your blog but I know it was all in God’s leading. You always help me see things a different way and pause to think. Ceil: We all have a lot to give thanks to God for. I am doing the 1,000 gifts list this year. I didn’t start until May. Right now, I am at 555. I keep the list on my NEO (portable word processor.) I am going to keep this list going until the end of the year and start afresh on January 1.
